A founding member of the Governing Board has served as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, and principal in Long Beach, Downey, Santa Rosa, Hollister, Bakersfield and Salinas. She is also an adjunct instructor at Brandman University, the off-campus arm of Chapman University, teaching an introductory class to academic thinking, reading, and writing. Her BA degree was earned at California State University, Long Beach. She also is the recipient of a Masters Degree in Educational Administration, Organization and Leadership from the University of San Francisco. Other certification includes a Miller-Unruh Reading Specialist Credential from the State of California, completion of the Principals Center Program at UCLA, and the Literature Project at California State University, Sonoma.
