Malissa Burns


I  attended and graduated from Riverside Community College with Associate of Arts Degree in Humanities, California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Behavioral Science, National University with an Education Specialist Credential, and University California of Riverside with an authorization in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Clear Education Specialist Credential. I am currently enrolled at National University pursuing a Masters/Doctorate in Educational Leadership.  

I have been in the role of Superintendent/Principal for Millennium since February 2018.  Prior to stepping into this position, I have been working in the field of Special Education for the past 23 years with the last 10 years in the roll of an Educator.  I have taught SDC Preschool, SDC 2nd & 3rd Grade, Adult Education English and Math, RSP Elementary School through High School, Home and Hospital, Administrative Designee Certification,  and have been a trainer for an ELL Vocabulary Program, Title 1 Coordinator, Title 1 facilitator, SST Coordinator and team member, School Site Council Member, and an active PTA member.

I am a proud mom of three wonderful adult children.

This is Jennifer’s second year with Millennium. She came to MCHS after working 16 years for Monterey County Schools Insurance Group as a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist. Prior to this, she was a school-wide Administrative Assistant for Greenfield Union School District. Besides working for Millennium, she is an active volunteer for Girl Scouts and is currently pursuing her Ed.S. in School Psychology and Master of Arts in Educational Psychology with the Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
